At the heart of the project is the 853cc transverse 90° V-twin engine. Air-cooled for simplicity and lightness, it delivers 76 HP with substantial low-end torque, ideal for smooth riding. The shaft final drive is the real ace up its sleeve: clean, reliable, and chain-maintenance-free—a precious rarity in this segment that touring riders adore.

The chassis relies on a solid high-tensile steel tube frame, which uses the engine as a stressed member to maximize rigidity. With a 19-inch front wheel and 170mm suspension travel, the V85 TT offers a neutral and intuitive setup, capable of transitioning from tarmac to gravel without hesitation.
